Xbox Live Gold free this weekend
Users in US, Canada, and Japan can try the premium service
Microsoft is giving some Xbox 360 owners a chance to try out their premium Xbox Live Gold service for free this weekend.
Starting today April 19th, at 10am ET/ 7am PT, the company has unlocked Xbox LIVE Gold in the U.S., Latin America, Japan and Canada throughout the weekend until 1p ET/10am PT on Monday, April 22nd.
All Xbox owners in these regions, regardless of their current Xbox LIVE subscription status, will have access to online multiplayer gaming, Video Kinect, and the entire catalog of entertainment apps.
If you like what you see, Gold can be purchased for $60 per year.
