Xbox 360 price cut for the holidays
Microsoft drops the cost across various bundles
North American retailers have reduced the price on many 4GB and 250GB editions of the Xbox 360 console.
An official $20 price cut for Nintendo's Wii just a day ago has been followed up by an apparent $50 drop for Microsoft's Xbox 360 bundles, GI has spotted.
Major US (and Canadian) retailers including GameStop and Wal Mart have trimmed the prices of their standard 4GB Kinect and 250GB hardware bundles. The 4GB Kinect bundles and some non-Kinect 250GB systems have fallen from $299 to $249. The 250GB Kinect systems have been cut from $399 to $349.
Microsoft has not released any official announcements with regards to the price reduction, but chances are it's to compete with the Wii and get a head start on early Holiday shoppers. Though they did confirm the price is only reduced in North America, so Europe and rest of World won't see a similar offer.
