Microsoft reduces Kinect pricing
Permanently reduced price for the hardware announced
Microsoft has announced a new price for Kinect, the motion-control device for Xbox 360.
The new permanently reduced price will be US $109.99 in US. There will be also a permanently reduced price in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions where Kinect is sold.
Australia and New Zealand will get the new lower price in October. The final retail price will vary in each region based on the currency and other variables.
There are no price adjustments planned for Europe and Japan at this time.
Kinect for Xbox 360 provides a unique way to access and interact with entertainment. With just the wave of a hand or the sound of a voice, consumers can play games, stream music, watch HD movies and live ESPN sporting events, and engage in video chat. Originally released in November 2010, one million units were sold in just ten days.
