Free PlayStation Plus games for October 2017
Stealth action, horror, and more free next month
Sony has announced the lineup of free PS Plus games for October 2017.
Subscribers on PlayStation 4 can download Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The game features a new open-world game design featuring realtime weather, realistic passage of time and a variety of ways to navigate the environments. The storyline focuses on dark themes that portray the ugliness and tragedy of war, as a legendary hero falls from grace. The second free game for PS4 Plus members is Amnesia: Collection, which contains both The Dark Descent and A Machine for Pigs. Both games are first person survival horror, and focus on immersion, discovery and living through a nightmare.
On PS3, members can grab Monster Jam Battlegrounds. The title replicates Monster Jam stadium and arena events, and takes fans out of the stadium and into other environments for physics based skill and stunt challenges. The second free game for PS3 subscribers is Hustle Kings, the first-ever billiards simulator made exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
And on PS Vita, PS Plus members can download Hue (cross buy with PS4), a vibrant puzzle adventure where you alter the world by changing its background colour. The second free Vita game is Sky Force Anniversary (cross buy with PS4 and PS3), an air-based shoot 'em up where players' goal is to save the world from evil General Mantis.
These games will be free for PlayStation Plus members starting on the first Tuesday of the month.
