Free Games with Gold for August 2016
Wrap up the summer with more free games on Xbox
Microsoft has announced the Games with Gold lineup for August 2016.
First, available from August 1-31 on Xbox One, is Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. Blending the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors franchises, this fighting game has over 120 playable characters and a free, open mix-and-match party system. Then on August 16, hop into the ring with WWE 2K16, the latest installment of the WWE video game series containing over 120 Superstars and Legends. Story and MyCAREER modes return, where your actions influence your personality and your alliances and rivalries can take you to the top of the WWE world.
Available from August 1-15 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One, Spelunky is an indie platformer that allows you to blast through rock to find shortcuts and challenges you to avoid traps, find loot, and defeat enemies. Then, from August 16-31 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One, members can download Beyond Good & Evil HD. Play as Jade, an investigative reporter trying to uncover a sinister government conspiracy, armed with her camera, her wits, and a retractable battle staff.
These titles are available as free downloads for a limited time, for qualifying paid Xbox Live Gold members in all markets where Xbox Live is available.
