Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai expansion announced
New stand-alone title introduces new campaign and factions
SEGA has announced Fall of Samurai, a standalone expansion to Total War: Shogun 2 RTS game.
The expansion explores the conflict between the Imperial throne and the last Shogunate in 19th century Japan, 400 years after the events of the original game. 6 new playable clans are included with the game: Aizu, Nagaoka, Jozai, Choshu, Satsuma, and Tosa.
New foreign powers of America, Britain, and France are said to provide key benefits based on their relationship with your nation. The new island of Ezo extends the Shogun 2 campaign map northwards, with 39 new land units and 10 new naval unit types with a total of 21 ships included.
Fall of Samurai is standalone and thus does not require Shogun 2 to play. There is currently no release date or pricing information.
