Skyrim system requirements released
Bethesda has released the requirements for their upcoming Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim.
The minimum and recommended specs for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have been released by Bethesda.
Minimum specification:
- 2GHz dual-core CPU
- 2GB RAM
- DirectX 9c video card with 512MB RAM
- Windows XP/7/Vista (32 or 64 bit)
- 6GB Free HD space
- Internet access for Steam activation
Recommended PC specification (High settings)
- Quad-core Intel/AMD CPU
- 4GB RAM
- DirectX 9 video card with 1GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 260/AMD Radeon 4890 or better
- Windows XP/7/Vista (32 or 64 bit)
- 6GB hard disk space
- Internet access for Steam activation
These requirements are very modest for a 2011 game. A 2+ year old GPU is still able to run the game on high although you'll need something with a bit more grunt to run on Ultra. Also surprising is how it only needs 6GB of hard drive space. Hopefully the game is bug free and runs as well as indicated by these specifications.
