Fighting game sequel is now available in North America
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the fighting game from ATLUS and Arc System Works, is available in stores and as a digital download beginning today in North America.
In P4AU, the characters from Persona 4 and Persona 3 once again find themselves teaming up to face off in the P-1 Climax, a series of battles which must be won before the world ends. A few new faces join the fight, including Junpei Iori, Yukari Takeba, Rise Kujikawa, and more.
In addition to the story mode, players can also challenge themselves in Arcade Mode, Score Attack Mode, Golden Arena Mode, which lets players earn experience and customize their fighter with skills. And of course, P4AU features a robust set of local or online competitive multiplayer.
P4AU also has extensive plans for DLC. Playable characters Adachi and Marie are being offered for free until Oct. 7, and the Adachi DLC will include the add-on story segment, Episode: Adachi. Third playable character Margaret will be on sale for $4.99 beginning Oct. 7, when Adachi and Marie revert to the same price. In addition to the characters, the original story of P4A is available for $9.99, along with a host of customization packs: Navigator voices, glasses packs, and character colors.
P4AU is available now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
