PlayStation teasing announcement on February 20th
Reports indicate this could be the next generation of PlayStation home console
Sony PlayStation has gone live with a series of viral ads that point to a Meeting Event on February 20th.
The company launched the video with a tweet inviting players to see the future alongside a related website with a mailing list sign-up. Many are speculating that the announcement could be for Sony's next PlayStation console. The event will take place in NYC on February 20th starting at 6pm EST, and will be live streamed.
Multiple sources are reporting that the best guess for this event would be the reveal of the next generation of PlayStation, likely PlayStation 4. GI believes they have a concrete confirmation of this through an article on Wall Street Journal.
The February 20th date puts this announcement just prior to Sony Computer Entertainment's Destination PlayStation, a media event taking place on February 25-28 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
