Disney closes Junction Point
Developers behind Epic Mickey are shut down
Junction Point studio, developer of Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, was shuttered today by Disney.
In a statement provided to Joystiq, Disney stated: "It was with much sadness that we informed our teams today of changes to our Games organization, which include the closure of Junction Point Studios. We're extremely grateful to Warren Spector and the Junction Point team for their creative contributions to Disney with Disney Epic Mickey and Disney Epic Mickey 2."
Epic Mickey 2 reportedly sold just 270,000 copies in North America by the end of last year, and was released in the Fall across PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. It was led by Warren Spector.
