The Tester Season 3 begins tomorrow
Winner to receive production associate position at Sony Santa Monica Studio
Sony Computer Entertainment America is set to debut the third season of PlayStation Network’s reality series “The Tester” tomorrow, Tuesday February 7, 2012.
This season, 12 new cast members compete in physical and mental challenges to win a job as a Production Associate at the Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Santa Monica Studio, home of the God Of War franchise. Additionally, the Season 3 winner will receive a $5,000 signing bonus, 55” 3D BRAVIA TV, the PlayStation 3 system and 2012 Ford Focus Titanium.
Season 3 includes returning panelists Adrianne Curry, winner of the first season of America's Next Top Model, and Brent Gocke, senior release manager from SCEA, who will join host Meredith Molinari and additional gaming industry guests to scrutinize the 12 new cast members.
"With each season of ‘The Tester’ we have seen a significant increase in fan engagement and enthusiasm for compelling gaming lifestyle content delivered to our PSN audience,” said Kevin Furuichi, executive producer of original programming, PlayStation Network. “Season 2 of ‘The Tester’ received a 46 percent increase from the debut season with more than 3.5 million downloads, which ranks the average episode viewership on par with popular television series on DIRECTV.”
This season features contestants from San Bernardino to Brooklyn to the Dominican Republic, including the winner of the online casting contest, Arin Hanson (aka Egoraptor), who received enough of the 564,000+ community votes from the more than 30,000 registered participants to win a spot on the Season 3 cast.
The complete Seasons 1 and 2 of “The Tester” are still available for free download from the PlayStation Store as well.
