E3 plans to return in 2023
ESA to partner with ReedPop production company to organize the event
The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has announced that it will partner with ReedPop, the event production company behind PAX, New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, and others, to host E3 2023 in June of next year.
After in-person E3 2020-2022 events were cancelled during the global COVID 19 pandemic, the show is set to return to the Los Angeles Convention Center in the second week of June, 2023. This also marks the first time that ESA are not planning to organize the entire event themselves.
At the most recent in-person event, E3 2019, the show saw 66,100 in attendance, down from 2018's 69,000. The event featured more than 200 exhibitors, approximately a quarter of which exhibited at the event for the first time.
The organizers say that "a streamlined and secure media registration" for E3 2023 will begin in late 2022. Confirmed exhibitors, hotel and travel guides, event schedules, and more will be shared in the months to come via media releases and the official E3 website.
