Forza Motorsport 6: Apex adds wheel support
PC version of racing game also now out of beta
Microsoft and Turn10 have announced that Forza Motorsport 6: Apex on Windows 10 is now out of beta and officially launched. The game remains free to play.
With today's update, Apex will also bring wheel support to the Forza Motorsport series on Windows 10 for the first time. The full list of supported wheels includes Logitech (G27, G25, G29, G920, MOMO Force Feedback) and Thrustmaster (T300RS, T500RS, T150, TX Xbox One, TMX Xbox One, RGT Force Feedback) models.
There are additional wheels that will be supported in the future, notably Fanatec products such as the ClubSport V2 Xbox One Hub and the Fanatec CSR models. Support for these Fanatec wheels will be arriving in Apex beginning in late September, with updates for both Windows 10 and Apex. In addition, H-pattern shifters are fully supported in Apex for all Logitech wheels listed above, except for the G29, which will be added at a later date.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is a special version that launched on PC in beta earlier this year. The game is free to play and features less cars and tracks than the full FM6 has on the Xbox One.
