Free Games with Gold for December 2015

Microsoft have revealed the lineup of games that will be released for free to Xbox Live Gold members in December.

Xbox One subscribers get The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing from December 1-31. This is the game's debut on the console. The game is set in Borgovia, a dark kingdom where you can meet mythical monsters and scientific creatures. You play young Van Helsing, son of the world-famous monster hunter. His follower, Lady Katarina, is the ghost of a witty and beautiful damsel, who is a great help for our hero and also his biggest critic at the same time.

Next, Xbox One owners can grab Thief from December 16 - January 15th. Step into the silent shoes of Garrett, a dark and solitary thief with an unrivalled set of skills. Explore the sick and troubled City, from its shady back alleys to the heights of its rooftops. Sneak through the streets, infiltrate heavily-guarded mansions and lurk in every dark corner, unnoticed and unsanctioned.

For Xbox 360 owners, CastleStorm combines the best elements of tower defense titles like Kingdom Rush and artillery attack titles like Angry Birds. It’s a colorful medieval romp through multiple levels of physics-based destruction. And it will be available from December 1-15.

Also for Xbox 360, Games with Gold is giving away Sacred 3 from December 16-31. Third in the brawler/strategy series, Sacred 3 focuses on cooperative gameplay (both local and online play are available), wherein you choose from a series of characters with unique sets of skills and abilities. They must work together to keep from getting overwhelmed by waves of foes, and can combine their skills in unique ways to solve challenges.

Finally, Xbox 360 members can grab Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. This military simulator challenges players to survive the chaos and rapidly evolving situations of modern warfare on an exotic island location. It will be available from December 16-31.

Thanks to Xbox One Backward Compatibility, all three free Xbox 360 games are also playable on Xbox One.

These titles are available as free downloads for a limited time, for qualifying paid Xbox Live Gold members in all markets where Xbox Live is available.
