The Evil Within gone gold
PC system specs and hard drive space requirements posted
Bethesda Softworks has announced that the horror title The Evil Within has gone gold, and will release in October as planned.
The publisher has also released the hardware requirements for playing the game at an optimum performance level. They can be seen below.
Recommended PC System Specifications:
- 64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8
- i7 with four plus cores
- 4 GB RAM
- 50 GB of hard drive space to install, reduced to ~41GB to play
- GeForce GTX 670 or equivalent with 4GBs of VRAM
- High Speed Internet Connection
- Steam account and activation
On consoles, players only need to worry about having enough free hard drive space. The minimum space is as follows: Xbox One — 40 GB; PlayStation 4 — 40 GB; PlayStation 3 — 7 GB; Xbox 360 — 7 GB. As well, the game requires a mandatory install to the Xbox 360’s HDD or a USB 2.0 (or higher) flash drive.
The Evil Within will be released on October 14th in North America.
