Abyss Odyssey released
New title from indie developer ACE Team
Indie developers ACE Team and Atlus have announced that Abyss Odyssey is now available.
The 2-D adventure game features rogue-like elements steeped in fighting game mechanics. Beginning today, players can purchase the game on Steam and PSN. Starting July 16, Xbox Live and European PSN users will follow suit. The game normally retails for $14.99.
But to celebrate the launch of Abyss Odyssey are two new promotions for the console launch: 30% discount for PlayStation 3 users (any PSN member in North America, discount only for PS+ subscribers in EU) for one week after launch; and 33% discount for Xbox 360 users for one week after launch.
Abyss Odyssey has an aesthetic that blends Art Nouveau and Chilean folklore in a procedurally generated environment. As players descend the Abyss, different regions will be home to different monsters, all of which have their own movesets. Capturing the soul of defeated enemies lets players take their form and battle as them.
Abyss Odyssey is available for download on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
