Call of Duty: Ghosts PC system requirements

Activision has revealed the minimum PC specs for their upcoming Call of Duty game via their official site.

Minimum Specifications:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 2.4 GHZ
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 40 GB
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or better
Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound card
Internet: Broadband Internet connection for Steam and Online Multiplayer.

No recommended specifications have been posted. The minimum specs listed here are rather high for a Call of Duty game, which usually run well on lower-end systems. The jump to next gen has caused specifications to leap also. A Radeon 5870 is listed alongside a GTS 450, but these cards are not approximately equal in performance. The 5870 is around twice as fast. It is unclear if this is a typo or if there are some serious nVidia optimisations. With a 5870 minimum GPU and 6GB of RAM, these specs are higher than the minimum system requirements for Battlefield 4.

Call of Duty Ghosts will be available on PC alongside the 360 and PS3 versions, coming November 5th.
