Total War: Rome II launches
Latest strategy game from Creative Assembly now out on PC
Total War: ROME II is now available to purchase on digital download and from retail stores worldwide.This latest in the acclaimed line of strategy games charges players with creating the most incredible war machine the ancient world has ever seen. Playing either as Rome, or one of many barbarian, Greco-Roman or eastern empires arrayed against them, players must use all the military, political and mercantile power at their disposal to rule the known world.
The most pre-ordered game in the series' history and winner of more than 20 E3 awards and nominations; ROME II was awarded the best in show strategy game by IGN, Destructoid and GameInformer as well as the E3 Game Critics' to name a few.
With near half of all Total War players spending more than 50 hours on each game, ROME II attempts to feed those fans with a campaign map nearly twice the size of the previous title and 700+ individual unit types.
Alongside this huge amount of sandbox strategic gameplay, Creative Assembly have announced forthcoming free and paid-for DLC in the coming months, with the intent of supporting ROME II for years to come.
