Total War: Rome 2 release date announced
Strategy game coming this September, special editon detailed
SEGA has revealed the release date, pre-order bonuses and Collector’s Edition for PC RTS title Total War: Rome II.
The global release date for the game will be September 3rd, 2013 across all territories on both physical and digital formats. Those gamers who pre-order any edition from participating retailers will receive Rome II’s first DLC for free alongside the game on release day. This first DLC, the Greek States Culture Pack, adds three additional playable factions to the game; Epirus, Athens and Sparta.
The Total War: Rome II Collector’s Edition will be produced in a single, limited run; only 22,000 individually numbered copies will be manufactured. The CE contains a copy of the game in a Steelbook case; Tabula set; Tesserae Dice; Total War Cards; Canvas Campaign Map; and a complete, fully-functional Onager (Roman siege catapult). This device is constructed from weathered wood and steel, measures 26cm x 12cm x 12cm, and is capable of unleashing small projectiles.
Total War: Rome 2 will be available for Windows PC.
