Assassin's Creed 3 faces PC delay
Publisher Ubisoft continues the trend of delaying releases on PC platform
It has been confirmed that the next title in the franchise, Assassin's Creed 3, will not launch on PC alongside the consoles in late October.
The news comes from the Ubisoft creative lead Alex Hutchinson, who confirmed it at a San Diego Comic-Con panel. No exact date was given, but the PC version is still set to be released in 2012 before the Holidays.
Publisher Ubisoft has been known to delay PC versions of titles, though it has gotten a bit better - while original AC games were delayed for over 6 months on PC, the latest - Revelations - was only a couple of weeks behind console releases.
Assassin's Creed 3 is set to launch on October 30th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
