The Amazing Spider-Man released
Web-Slinger offers free-roaming New York City, PC version in August
Activision has announced the release of The Amazing Spider-Man video game, which serves as an epilogue story to this summer's upcoming blockbuster feature film.
"Dee Brown and his team at Beenox have completely revamped The Amazing Spider-Man's proprietary game engine to deliver a fresh, innovative gameplay experience for the fans," said David Oxford, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Activision. "With the adrenaline rush from just swinging through the city and the new zoomed-in camera angle opening up a whole new perspective in realistic detail, The Amazing Spider-Man allows gamers to BE Spider-Man like never before."
The Amazing Spider-Man video game also features fan-favorite talent, including Evil Dead and Burn Notice's Bruce Campbell taking the role of an "extreme action" reporter who provides death-defying challenges that only Spider-Man can accomplish. And for fans that pre-ordered the game from Amazon, Stan Lee himself is available as a playable character for the first time ever.
Developed by Beenox, the game is in stores this week for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version has been confirmed for release on August 10th.
