Just Dance 4 coming this year
E3 2012: New entry in dancing franchise announced
Ubisoft has announced the development of Just Dance 4, the latest installment in the dance game franchise.
Just Dance 3 sold more than 10 million copies in less than eight months and Just Dance for the Nintendo Wii sold more than 850,000 copies in Korea and Japan, making Just Dance one of the rare video game brands to achieve success in both Eastern and Western countries. On a global level, the dance game genre was the sixth largest of 2011, growing 66 percent from 2010, with two Just Dance titles nabbing spots in the top 10 best-selling games of the year.
“Just Dance continues to be the game of choice for consumers around the world looking for games with great music and fun dance moves,” Olivier Ernst, General Manager at Ubisoft Canada. “This year, Just Dance 4 will once again bring family and friends together for moments of shared enjoyment and laughter. The party will be bigger than ever thanks to an epic track list, more interactive game modes and an expanded Just Sweat feature.”
Just Dance 4 features more than 40 new tracks, ranging from chart-topping Billboard hits to classic dance party tracks. Whether it’s pop, Hip-Hop, rock, R&B, country or funk, the game promises something for everyone.
Just Dance 4 will be released worldwide early October 2012 on the Wii, Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation Move for PlayStation 3. The game also will be released on the Wii U system from Nintendo during its launch window.
