SSX available today
The return of the snowboarding franchise is in stores now
Electronic Arts has announced that SSX is available in retail stores throughout North America today and by March 2 around the world.
“We’re extremely proud to finally bring back the SSX franchise, one of the greatest wholly-owned IP franchises from EA SPORTS,” said Dean Richards, General Manager, Team & Action Sports. “We’ve built SSX with the latest technologies giving it a more modern look and feel, but everyone who has played it has agreed – this is 100 percent SSX at its core.”
Using NASA topographical satellite data, SSX has a big world for players to explore. Throughout nine regions, SSX lets players Race, Trick, and Survive as they descend the mountains. In addition, Explore, Global Events and RiderNet – the SSX recommendation engine - headline an online feature set.
SSX is available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
