Killzone 3 multiplayer going free to play
Starting next week, everyone can play online via PSN up to a certain rank
Sony and Guerrilla Games have announced that starting next week, the multiplayer component of Killzone 3 will become free to play for all with access to PSN.
The free to play version will include the Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone and Operations game modes, as well as the original and all Killzone 3 DLC maps.
The catch is that players can only reach the rank of Sergeant. If you want to advance (and unlock more stuff) as well as earn trophies, a $15 purchase will be required to unlock the full multiplayer.
Killzone 3 was released exactly one year ago today, exclusively for PlayStation 3.
