Prototype 2 delayed on PC
PC version of upcoming sequel delayed by several months
While the original Prototype released across all platforms at the same time, that won't be the case for the sequel.
The developers have announced (via Facebook, login required), that the PC version of the upcoming Prototype 2 has been set back far beyond the console release. "Radical Entertainment has always been extremely dedicated to all our fans, and we just wanted to make sure you heard the news from us first," said the message.
While Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 copies will hit stores as soon as April, PC users will have to wait a few long months until July 24th in order to play.
No details were provided as for reasons to the delay, nor was it clarified if any of the recently announced 55 pieces of DLC content (set to be released between April and August) will make it to the PC version at all.
Prototype 2 is currently under development by Canadian studio Radical Entertainment.
