Alan Wake to get a PC release
The long-released Xbox 360 exclusive to arrive on PC early next year
Remedy Entertainment has made a surprise announcement that the PC release of Alan Wake is in the cards for Q1 2012.
The PC version of the game will also include The Signal and The Writer downloadable content. No pricing details are yet known.
Recently announced Alan Wake’s American Nightmare for Xbox Live Arcade will also be available in the first quarter of 2012.
Alan Wake tells the story of a best-selling writer suffering from writer’s block. He goes on vacation to the small town of Bright Falls with his wife, Alice, to gain back his creative flow. Shortly upon arrival, Wake finds himself trapped in a nightmare when his wife mysteriously goes missing.
The game was released on Xbox 360 in 2010, and the developers later said that the game wasn't meant for PCs and thus a port was unlikely. They changed their minds, it seems.
