Final Fantasy XIII-2 dated
Next FF title coming in January, DLC plans outlined
Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII–2 will be available on January 31, 2012 for North America.
Final Fantasy XIII–2 is the sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, which was released in North America in March 2010 and has shipped 6.2 million units worldwide. The sequel has evolved beyond its predecessor, with level design encouraging exploration, a new battle system allowing players to command monsters, and a variety of options that support multiple playthroughs.
Square Enix also announced that Downloadable Content (DLC) will be available soon after the release of the game. More details about what the DLC will entail will be said at a later date.
Since the release of Final Fantasy in 1987, this RPG series has so far achieved a cumulative shipment of over 100 million units worldwide.
