Killzone 3 in stores today
The newest shooter for Playstation 3 is now in stores, includes Stereoscopic 3D and PlayStation Move Compatibility
Sony Computer Entertainment today announced the release of Killzone 3, the latest title in the franchise. Developed by Guerrilla Games, Killzone 3 puts players in the midst of an epic battle between warring Helghast factions, all in the fight for human survival.
“Killzone 3 brings the most explosive action yet, truly delivering the definitive cinematic sci-fi war experience to fans,” said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Product Marketing, SCEA. “This title has raised the bar in first person shooters by introducing new weapons and vehicles with varied environments, all tied together in a gripping story of human survival. With the addition of Stereoscopic 3D and PlayStation Move, this is a game that will not disappoint fans.”
In Killzone 3, players find themselves in the midst of a battle for human survival. The story begins where Killzone 2 left off with Visari, the vicious Helghast dictator, lying dead at the feet of ISA soldiers Sev and Rico. However this war is far from won. In the wake of Visari’s death, Helghan has devolved into a world of political scheming, rapid infighting, and murder. Now, the two most powerful men on Helghan are fighting for complete and utter dominance while Visari’s vision of Helghan is in jeopardy. With limited supplies and no re-enforcements, the ISA must now fight not to win a war, but to survive a lost one.
Also available today is the special Killzone 3 Helghast Edition, which includes a retail copy of the game, a collectible replica of a Helghast helmet, a 6.5” tall Helghast Marksman action-figure created by DC Unlimited, and a 100-page hardbound book, featuring art from the Killzone universe. Each box will also contain an exclusive Killzone 3 Super Voucher, which will give players the game’s full soundtrack and PS3 Dynamic Theme, a Retro Map Pack with two re-mastered Killzone 2 maps, a bonus video of the behind-the-scenes making of Killzone 3, and double XP and full access to all weapons and abilities for the first 24 hours of multiplayer gameplay.
