Total War: PHARAOH announced
Next game in the strategy franchise coming this year
SEGA and Creative Assembly have revealed that Total War: PHARAOH is coming out in October 2023. The game will be set during the Egyptian New Kingdom period where players determine the fate of three cultures (Egypt, Canaan, and the Hittit) during the Bronze-Age collapse.
"As Pharaoh, you must save Egypt from the cusp of destruction and guide your people through the calamitous Bronze-Age collapse. It is up to you to either survive or fade into history," said Game Director, Todor Nikolov.
Players will have a choice of eight faction leaders across the three cultural hubs. Battlefields will have varying weather conditions, such as thunderstorms and sandstorms. These weather events will also affect the surrounding terrain. Fire can spread across the battlefield as well.
The campaign will have a customization feature so no two will feel the same. There will be an option to randomize starting positions. Resource settings can be altered. Even the natural disasters can be adjusted.
Players who pre-order will get to take part in an Early-Access weekend. Total War: PHARAOH will be released for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store sometime in October.
