NBA Elite 11 cancelled
Sports publisher chooses to cancel basketball sim, promises the franchise will return
Electronic Arts announced today during its Q2 2011 financial call to investors that it has "elected to cancel" NBA Elite 11.
This seems to suggest that after EA pushed back the game’s release, it realized Elite 11 needed substantially more work that previously anticipated and decided to just scrap the whole thing and start again.
While Elite 11 might be dead, the franchise is still alive, and development will now move from EA Canada to Madden developer Tiburon in Orlando, Florida.
