NBA Elite 11 delayed
With a demo already out and just a week before release, the NBA series reboot has been delayed
EA Sports boss Peter Moore has announced that NBA Elite 11 has been delayed based on fan feedback and requiring more polish.
It was said on his blog, "Feedback from consumers is a very important part of the process. NBA Elite had the benefit of play-testing, a demo and a lot of our own research. All that feedback revealed some concerns about gameplay polish, so we’ve listened to your feedback, and made a judgment that the game would benefit from more time in development."
"NBA Elite 11 is not yet ready and we have made a decision to delay next month’s launch."
No further details were mentioned, and it is unclear if the game will still make it this year, or a 2011 push has been scheduled. The game was originally set to ship next week, alongside competitor NBA 2k11, on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
