Fortnite Chapter 2 begins
Large update brings new map, mechanics and more to the multiplayer shooter
Epic Games has announced the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2, still available as a free download.
Chapter 2 brings some big changes to the shooter, including an all-new island featuring 13 locations, and Swimming, Fishing, Motorboats, and more.
In combat, players can now heal the squad with the Bandage Bazooka, carry fallen teammates to safety, and celebrate with new group emotes like high fives. You can also hide in Haystacks and Dumpsters to get the drop on your opponent or go in blazing by blowing up gas tanks and explosive barrels.
The weapon selection has been streamlined, and players can upgrade weapons using resources at the Upgrade Bench. There's also a new XP system and Medals to earn.
Fortnite Chapter 2 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.
