Bohemia Interactive has announced the release of the hotly anticipated demo for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead, a standalone expansion pack to the popular military simulator Arma 2.
This 3GB demo thrusts you straight into the unique gameplay featured in the full version of Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead; it showcases the realistic sandbox environment, offers multiplayer gameplay, and gives you a peek at the vast array of vehicles, weapons, units at your disposal.
The demo offers a massive amount of highly detailed content, giving you a sharp flavour of the epic new environment (modelled on real-world data), a full taste of the mission editor, and a real opportunity to experience the most authentic mil-sim available: war without the training wheels.
Bohemia Interactive CEO, Marek Spanel, described the demo as tantamount to a game in its own right: "This demo is huge. Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead is not a simple expansion - it's a massive extension of a living world for a passionate fan community. Our goal is to offer the chance to experience as much of the new and unique features as possible. To be honest, we believe that there is more fun to be had in this demo than in some full games; the editor alone enables a user to create hours of custom content."
Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead does not require the original Arma 2, but upgrades it with the latest features and improvements, and integrates all content into one massive military library for the ultimate combat experience. Both Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead are now in stores.
