PC specifications revealed for parkour sequel
Electronic Arts have released the minimum and recommended requirements for the PC version of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. See them below:
MINIMUM

- HARD DRIVE: At least 25 GB of free space
- VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 650 Ti 2GB or better / AMD Radeon™ R9 270x or better
- INPUT: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller
RECOMMENDED:
- OS: Windows® 10 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst runs on the Frostbite engine, recently used for Dragon Age: Inquisition and Battlefield 4. The specifications listed above are inconsistent with these games. The 270X is approximately 50%-80% faster than the 650 Ti in Battlefield 4, yet both are listed as the minimum required. Recommended specifications also have a similar issue. The GTX 970 is about 30% faster than the 280X and they are both recommended cards. Given these massive differences, we cannot be sure of the accuracy of the specifications.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will have a closed beta on April 22nd. It will be released on May 24th for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
