Mod tools coming for Black Ops 3 on PC

Treyarch have announced they will be bringing mod and map tools to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PC as early as March 2016. The initial release will be in the form of closed Alpha. The mod tools are said to include:

• Ability to create maps and mods
• Unranked dedicated server files with tools to run mods / maps
• Unranked server browser to join modded games

Treyarch have previously released mod tools for some of their earlier games, including Black Ops 1 and World at War. Black Ops 2 did not get any mod tools. World at War was the last Call of Duty game with a map editor though, which was popular among the zombies crowd. No mention was made as to whether the mod tools would be integrated into Steam Workshop.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is releasing on PC in just 4 days, on November 6th 2015.
