NHL 15 predicts Anaheim Ducks to win the Stanley Cup
The California team will keep the Cup in the West, according to simulation
The NHL 15 Stanley Cup Playoffs simulation predicts that the Anaheim Ducks will keep the Stanley Cup on the west coast with a 4-3 series win over the New York Rangers.
In the simulation conducted by EA Sports in NHL 15, the Ducks came through with close wins over the Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames and Minnesota Wild before defeating the Rangers in the Stanley Cup Final. Captain Ryan Getzlaf took home the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Stanley Cup Playoffs MVP, finishing with an impressive 9 goals and 17 assists for a total of 26 points in 28 games.
At the start of the season last Fall, NHL 15 was used to predict a Cup Final matchup between LA Kings and Boston Bruins - in reality, neither team managed to qualify for the playoffs. Last season, NHL 14 predicted Boston Bruins as Stanley Cup 2014 winners; LA Kings ended up being the actual Champions.
