Another puzzling Portal patch arrives

Valve continues the sharade, and a new patch for Portal has arrived via Steam. The only thing noted: “Added valuable asset retrieval”.
Nobody really knew what that meant, until a skilled player decided to complete Portal post-patch and has unlocked a new ending to the game.
The game now ends with the player’s body being dragged away by some kind of strange robot that we have not heard in the game before.
This is getting interesting. With updates coming so often, it is just a matter of time until Valve releases a big clue as to what these updates are for, or actually unveils a new title. At GDC perhaps? Or PAX?
