Next Call of Duty game reveal this weekend

The next shooter will take on a futuristic setting

Activision has teased that the next Call of Duty game will be revealed this weekend.

The publisher has updated its social media pages to point to the May 4th, 2014 as the date for the announcement.

The game, developed by Sledgehammer Games, is said to be taking pace in the near future. In the last 20 years, global combat has seen a steady shift towards the use of private military corporations, or PMCs. The game will explore this concept, such as what happens when the highest bidder becomes the world's next superpower.

To help set the tone, a video entitled "Superpower For Hire" has been created in collaboration from VICE talking about the rise of PMCs. It can be seen below.
