Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes confirmed
Second game will be a downloadable prequel to The Phantom Pain
Konami has released details for Metal Gear Solid V, the two-game experience comprised of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will launch Spring 2014 as a prologue to the events leading into The Phantom Pain. The game features new advances made with Kojima Productions’ FOX Engine, such as new game design, day and night cycles, and weather conditions that will affect gameplay. The missions are designed to ease players into the new control and gameplay advances that will be an integral part of The Phantom Pain.
Ground Zeroes' storyline follows Big Boss as he infiltrates a remote Cuban prison camp on a rescue mission, all while trying to remain undetected.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be available in retail stores for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $29.99 or via download for $19.99. For PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the game can be downloaded for $29.99.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will also be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
