EA signs agreement with Ken Block

Famous driver to promote the Need for Speed brand

Posted on

Electronic Arts has announced a multi-year partnership with racing star Ken Block.

Block will become Racing Advisor for the Need for Speed franchise. The Need for Speed franchise is also sponsoring Block and his Ford Fiesta ST 2013 racing car and will be working with him on the release of Gymkhana SIX, the next installment of the video franchise, via the Need for Speed website and YouTube channel.

Ken Block was most recently associated with the Dirt franchise from Codemasters. It is unconfirmed if this agreement is exclusive, or if Block will continue to appear in other racing video games.

The next entry in the Need for Speed franchise, Rivals, will be in-stores November 19 in North America and November 22 in Europe for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Need for Speed Rivals will also be available starting November 22 in North America for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
