Bugbear Entertainment opens pre-orders for their next car game
FlatOut developer working on new destructive racer
Bugbear Entertainment is hoping to release their next racing game with the support of fans. Fans can now pre-order their next car game on the official website. Several pre-order tiers are available, and they are much like the tier system for Kickstarter projects. $25 USD is the minimum pre-order amount that will secure you a copy of the game. Hardcore fans can spend $1000 USD for early access builds and other goodies.
If they receive 10,000 pre-orders, a playable sneak peak is planned for release late this year. Bugbear has already put in $1 million towards the project and plans to release the game in 2014. Instead of heading to publisher, they are asking for fans to help push the game to completion. The game is said to be a mix of FlatOut, Street Rod and Destruction Derby. Bugbear Entertainment is best known for their work on the FlatOut series. They also recently developed Ridge Racer Unbounded.
The title, called “Next Car Game”, is planned for release on PC. If they secure enough funding, they may be able to bring it to other platforms.
