EA dissolves Danger Close studio
Developers responsible for Medal of Honor have to move on
EA has confirmed that Danger Close, the studio responsible for the Medal Of Honor franchise, has been closed.
EA Games boss Patrick Söderlund confirmed the news via GI, stating: "Danger Close as it was doesn't exist anymore. There are people who left L.A., people who work with DICE L.A., and there are some who work in other parts of EA, as always when something gets dismantled."
The fate of the studio was in question ever since last year's Medal of Honor Warfighter was met with average reviews and poor sales. The studio was only formed a few years earlier to work on the franchise, spun off from the bigger EA LA (now DICE LA).
DICE Los Angeles has primarily worked on Command & Conquer series in recent years, but that has been also handed off to Victory Games, another subsidiary.
