Uncharted 2 more co-op might be coming
Naughty Dog have indicated that more co-op could be on the way, most likely objective modes like gold rush and survival. More players play competitive than co-operative.
Speaking to G4, Evan Wells from Naughty Dog has outlined the possibility for more co-op further down the line. He has indicated that although they'd like to do the story co-op modes but it requires a lot more work compared to the co-op objective modes like gold rush and survival. Those modes require scripts and voice actor work and they would only do more if there is a huge demand for it.
"The objective-style co-op that we have where we have those little narrative moments...it's something that we are considering and we'd really like to do, but it's a much, much bigger investment of time because we have to do a lot of motion capture with the actors and record a lot of voices."
Evan Wells also mentioned the number of played games is about the same for competitive and co-operative game types. However because the co-op modes have fewer player numbers there are probably 3x more people playing competitive.
"...it's a little misleading because there are ten players in a competitive game and only three players in a co-op game, so the number of players in each type of game is different, but the actual number of games is pretty close."
