Mass Effect 3 Wii U Special Edition details

BioWare has provided new details about the Mass Effect 3 Special Edition for Wii U.

The developers have added additional content and new features to fully utilize the Wii U GamePad. You can control your squadmates, utilize both Shepard and your squad’s abilities and even play Mass Effect 3 all from the GamePad.

The Special Edition includes our From Ashes DLC, the Extended Cut DLC, the Rebellion, Resurgence and Earth multiplayer packs, and a bonus heavy weapon – all on disc. Also included is a new update to the Genesis interactive back story comic from Dark Horse that was first released when Mass Effect 2 came to the PS3. The updated version will allow Wii U players to get the back story of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and will allow them to make decisions at key story points. These choices will then create a save game for you that can be imported into the game, opening up more storylines for each player.

Mass Effect 3 will be available when the Wii U launches in North America (November 18), Europe (November 30) and Japan (December 5).
