Xcom: Enemy Unknown to support Steamworks
Those who buy early will receive Elite Soldier Pack at no extra cost
2K Games and Firaxis Games announced today that XCOM: Enemy Unknown is now available for pre-ordering.
By pre-purchasing the game, you are guaranteed to receive the Elite Soldier Pack, a free launch bonus offering top-of-the-line soldier customization features that will only be available while supplies last. The Elite Soldier Pack includes a classic X-COM Soldier, Soldier Deco packs, and complete color customization.
In addition to the digital pre-sale bonus, all PC versions of XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be powered with Steamworks. XCOM: Enemy Unknown players will enjoy the benefits of Steamworks features, such as Steam Achievements, auto-updating, multiplayer matchmaking, Steam Cloud support and more.
A special edition of XCOM: Enemy Unknown for PC ($59.99) will be available at participating retail locations. This special edition will contain a copy of the game for PC and a number of unique XCOM items, including an art book; fold-out poster of the XCOM headquarters; XCOM insignia patch; and a collection of digital bonus assets such as desktop wallpaper, soundtrack and more.
