Canadian Video Game Awards 2012 winners announced
FIFA 12 takes top honor at the annual awards show
The 2012 Canadian Video Game Awards wrapped up last night in Vancouver, BC with Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Superbrothers taking home the most awards.
After a Mass Effect 2 sweep last year, this year's winners presented a wide range of genres. Other winners included AC Revelations, a surprising NHL 12 victory for the fan-voted award, and FIFA 12 taking home the biggest prize of the night.

* Best Console Game - Deus Ex: Human Revolution
* Best Game on the Go - Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
* Best Downloadable Game – Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
* Best Social / Casual Game - Margaritaville Online
* Best Indie Game - Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
* Best Audio - Deus Ex: Human Revolution
* Best Original Music - Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
* Best Game Design - Deus Ex: Human Revolution
* Best Technology - Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012
* Best Visual Arts - Assassin’s Creed Revelations
* Best Writing - Deus Ex: Human Revolution
* Best New Character - Deus Ex: Human Revolution
* Innovation Award - Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
* Gamers’ Choice Award - NHL 12
The CVGAs are in their third year, and celebrate the best of Canadian-made games. The show was broadcast across the country on TV, and is part of the first Fan Expo Vancouver convention.
