Sniper Elite V2 demo released
Hone your lethal sharpshooting skills ahead of the release
505 Games has announced that the gameplay demo for the third-person shooter Sniper Elite V2 is available to download today from Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. A PC demo will release later this month.
Sniper Elite V2 is a third person tactical shooter set in the dying days of World War Two and is a next-generation reboot of 2005’s original, Sniper Elite. The game weaves an explosive story of an undercover American OSS agent, stalking enemy prey across key historical locations from the Battle of Berlin in a mission to unravel the mysteries and dangers of the German V-2 rocket programme.
The downloadable demo showcases a specially prepared sequence from one of the game’s early missions set against the crumbling streets of the town of Schöneberg. As agent Karl Fairburne, players must stealthily traverse the shattered streets environment on a mission to lay a booby-trap for an unsuspecting armoured enemy convoy.
Sniper Elite V2 is developed by UK studio Rebellion and is set to release on May 1st, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC.
