Microsoft Flight dated for February 29
Free to play game will launch with day-one DLC
Microsoft has announced that “Microsoft Flight” will be available to download worldwide for free starting February 29, 2012.
The game will allow players to explore the Big Island of Hawaii. Those who want more, however, will have to pay 1600 Microsoft Points for the Hawaiian Adventure Pack – which includes the remaining Hawaiian Islands, a new plane and 20 new missions.
Alongside the content DLC, players will also have the ability to purchase two new planes on the day of release, Maule M-7-260C (1200 MS pts, with inside/outside view), and the North American P-51 Mustang (640 MS pts outside view only).
Executive producer, Joshua Howard, stated: “There was an overwhelming demand for access to the ‘Microsoft Flight’ beta and the number of requests was far more than what we initially planned for. We received amazing feedback from the beta participants and it’s great to see this level of excitement from fans as we move toward the release of Microsoft Flight.”
Microsoft Flight is first game in the franchise following the layoff of the entire Flight Simulator team in 2009.
