Canadian Videogame Awards returning in April
Third annual awards set to celebrate the best games created in Canada
Canada will once again gather on the West Coast this spring to celebrate its video game developers at the Third Annual Canadian Videogame Awards ceremony to take place in Vancouver, British Columbia on April 3, 2012.
The Canadian Videogame Awards will be held during the International Digital Media Summit in Vancouver. As the third largest developer of video games in the world, the show will celebrate Canada's spot on the world stage as a leader in interactive entertainment. The show will also be broadcast across the country on CityTV and G4 Canada through the Rogers Network.
The award categories, as selected by a committee of industry leaders from across Canada, include three new categories for 2012: Best Original Music,Best New Character, and Best Indie Game.
Finalists in all categories will be announced March 1, 2012, when public voting for Game of the Year will open.
The Canadian Videogame Awards are produced by Reboot Communications and Greedy Productions and are officially endorsed by DigiBC and the Entertainment Software Association of Canada.
