Wrapping up an eventful evening
During this evening's Spike VGA Awards 2011, a number of announcements have hit. Get a list of the most noteworthy ones below.
First up, the next game from Naughty Dog, The Last of Us is a PlayStation 3 exclusive which was revealed with a game cinematic. We saw father and daughter figures fighting off monsters before escaping into a rundown city. It's suspected the game will be an open world survival title.
A trailer also revealed Command & Conquer: Generals 2, coming in 2013 from BioWare and EA with the help of Frostbite 2 engine. Also announced with trailers were Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD and Alan Wake's American Nightmare for XBLA.
New trailers were shown for Transformers, Fall of Cybertron, Amazing Spider-man, Hitman Absolution, Rainbow 6 Patriots, and the Diablo 3 opening cinematic.
A new title from Epic Games was revealed to be Fortnite. As well, it was announced that Metal Gear Solid Rising will have a Revengeance subtitle and is now in development at Platinum Games.
Lastly, a new title named Batman: Arkham World was teased during the award speech for Joker winning the best character award.
